  • Disappointed that someone decided to put banners all over the final view which ruined it.

  • Truly amazing to see this new eruption

  • Stunning footage, thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome video I'd like to see you get your drone closer towards the volcano's for a bigger picture if possible. Best of luck to everybody in Iceland

  • Really fascinating, but the thumbnails at the end cover up the best shot

  • Truly amazing to see this new eruption

    • I live in Grindavík in iceland

    • speed has been faster in the past. Iceland is getting bigger!🤗

  • So much action going on already ! Wow!

  • great coverage of the lava flow, but the video ended on what we wanted to see most, and youtube popped up a bunch of ads, so we actually cant see the eruption. disapointment

  • O bicho vai pegar.

  • It looks like it's not real

    • @mijuo roui your right it would!

    • I'm beginning to understand why the Icelanders mostly live along the coast....If you color shifted the sky to red instead of blue, and told me this was Mars, I'd believe it.

  • I've been there it's Super cool☺😊👍✨

    • Hey, when you " build" a country and what is essentially just an exposed portion of the Atlantic Rift....You'll have that!

  • The video was too short. I wanted to see more. Oh well!!

  • Iceland..? Where is the ice ..?

  • Just when it gets good.. you shut it off?

  • God is showing man how the 'LAKE OF FIRE' looks like (Rev 21:8) Repent and believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and be Baptized in the Name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38), and you shall pass from DEATH INTO ETERNAL LIFE. The Great and Dreadful Day of the LORD is near. Look up, Bride of Christ, for YOUR REDEMPTION draws nearer. Luke 21: 25-36. Shalom!

  • Iceland sits on the mid Atlantic rift. That’s how it formed. The North American plate and Eurasian plate are splitting apart. They are moving at about 3 cm ( 1 inch) a year. That speed has been faster in the past. Iceland is getting bigger!🤗

  • This is what we experienced but on a much grander scale here on the Big Island of Hawaii back in 2018, when the earth opened up and fissures of lava spewed tons of lava across the landscape, destroying over 700 homes in the process....

  • Awesome video I'd like to see you get your drone closer towards the volcano's for a bigger picture if possible. Best of luck to everybody in Iceland

  • Le superbe spectacle de la nature 😊

  • Any idea how long of a distance it is from the Fissure to the valley floor? I also wonder if the volume of lava flowing from this fissure is taking away volume from the original outlets?

  • I see Frodo and Sam

  • Wow a molten river flowing through the mountains. Incredible.

    • That’s one way for mountains to get shorter and valleys to get higher. Nature has a way of evening the playing field.😂

  • This reminds me if the last eruptions in Hawaii when the line opened up and eventually flowed to the ocean. It seems like the eruption here is gradually gaining strength. We may be in for a very interesting few months.

  • a big big disappointment that you have put the webcam there

  • Story.

  • oh my god, why there, we are here to see the volcano and not lava, to the right there is a right mountain where you could put a webcam there so we can see the volcano

  • Truly amazing to see this new eruption

  • Thanks to Björn Steinbekk for this great video!

  • Great video!

  • Fabulous picture thank you very much to share this unique event

  • Awesome! So 19 people who disliked, what exactly do you want to see?

  • Are there no trees in Iceland?

  • In Soviet Russia Mordor simply walks into YOU

  • It’s coming for the city and then more from there...you can’t stop what’s coming!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

  • This is great!!!!!!!!!

  • it looks they have a lavafall (like for waterfall). This is Iceland!

  • Google THE FIRE MASS. Written by a local priest about the 1600s eruption. His church was spared and stands today.

  • Wouldn't it be scary if this turned into a long duration basalt eruption. Huge volcanic events that cover hundreds of miles.

  • I just want to know if Bjork is safe.

  • The show ain't over, not by a long shot, be safe out there everyone, thanks for sharing the footage.

    • Its in a hard to get to area if it came to us then we would just evacuate

  • If you can make a dry cement and put carbon you will get diamonds some found a lava rock then cut and found a diamond one inch .

  • Micah 1:4 The mountains melt beneath Him and the valleys split apart , like wax before the fire , like water rushing down a slope. Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon 🙏🏼❤️🕊REPENT , believe in the Gospel, Be Born Again

  • Fantastic video! Thanks for posting.

  • Wow. No words really. Just wow.

  • Amazing and creepy at the same time

  • I wonder, was anyone in the immediate area as the 2nd fissure opened up?

    • @Paavo Bergmann oh ok I see what you mean. I've checked out some of the footage and even just seeing it from my phone it still looks pretty cool. Usually when a volcano erupts the people head away from it but there's actually been quite abit of people going there to see it up close. I know I would. Well probably becuz it's not like way too explosive type of an eruption. eruption.

    • @bass & pickrel slayer I wasn´t there, I only saw the livestream, when the cam suddenly panned over to the left at 12:01, and there was lava spurting out of the field....

    • @Paavo Bergmann wow that would've looked awesome to see that 2nd fissure open up.

    • yes, or at least close by, as in a few hundred meters. you could see it in the livestream yesterday.

  • Fascinating... Snow in some places, smouldering hot lava river flowing.... A mountain sphweing fire in the background......

  • Really fascinating, but the thumbnails at the end cover up the best shot

  • Quite a fast flow really. It's like watching Hawaii all over again.

  • Hawaii:We have the most active volcanoes. Iceland:Hold my lava.

  • Is this from the same eruption as the other one with the two cones? Are they somehow connected?

    • @Anna Traustadottir Thank you.

    • Yes, the lava comes from the same magma path. This magma path is about 7 km long. Geologists have been monitoring this magma path and it´s journey underneath from 1. mars when they found out it was starting to form. The question was whether it would reach the surface. Well it did 19. mars. It is not surprising that knew fissures open up over the magma path since it does not lie deep in this area and in fact more fissures could open up further away.

  • Spectacular video! Thanks so much for sharing with the world 🙏🏼💗

  • New fissure umm no it has overflowed and poured into new valley..

    • Yeah yeah I just realised. It looks like it has opened up at the back of the crater. I'm not sure if it was along the same path that the lava was flowing to reach the original fissure. I know they were discussing that considering how full the valley was that it was likely to overflow into 2 other possible valleys nearby. They just hope it goes toward the more inland valley as the lower one is closer to the ocean. Oceans and lava do not mix well.

    • It looks like a new crack in the ground.

  • The coolest way to pave a road!

  • So cool to see new island being built

  • FanTAStic!

  • Finally! I video that shows the whole lava flow and not just the fissure erupting. It's cool to watch lava spew out, but I also like to know where it's going! THANK YOU!!!

  • nice!

  • Thank you for this! 👍🏽

  • So when lava comes out of the earth what fills in the void left in the earth? I mean it can't come out or it would create a vacuum, so something has to replace it or push it out, or so it would seem.

    • there is a tremendous pressure building when the mantle convection heats up the base of the crust, and it starts expanding due to the heat. I would guess the force comes from the elasticity of the surrounding, non-molten rock. Then cracks form, eventually a fissure opens, and it squirts out.

  • The flow looks like a giant clawed hand reaching to grab all it can.

  • It's amazing the heat of that lava hasn't melted the nearby snow yet near the bottom of the flow.
